One More Chance by the Notorious B.I.G.
“… Isn’t this great? Your flight leaves at eight
Her flight lands at nine, my game just rewinds (don’t go, don’t go, don’t go)
Lyrically, I’m supposed to represent
I’m not only the client, I’m the player president… “

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the word “Lyrical” was this line in One More Chance. But “I lack street cred” (according to my wife) m, so I knew the line, I knew who sang the song, but no way I would have been able come up with the name of the song…even though the hook repeats “Biggie give me one more chance (one more chance)”.
And that fact led me to Google, where I “googled” the lyrics and found the song. Speaking of Google, when did “googled” enter the lexicon to be a past tense form of the verb google – more specifically, when did Google become a verb?!
And speaking of Google (even though we weren’t really speaking of Google), made me think of something I posted on Facebook earlier about how no one who can read and has internet access should not know things because I searched “how to store neck ties” and found everything you can think of related to neck wear and it’s care. I don’t know what they should know, but they should know some stuff.

That’s a rap! Thank you for reading the first entry of the new series “What my unmedicated ADHD brain connects to the Merriam-Webster word of the day!”
